On April 7 2007 at 21.35 hours my nephew, Sam, died in his mummy's arms. Sam had osteogenesis
imperfecta type 2 and his very brave mummy and daddy decided to take him off the ventilator at
around seven that evening. My lovely nephew was held, kissed, cuddled and bathed by his mummy and
daddy.
I'm so devastated for my sister, but when I think of Sam my heart breaks, I wanted so much to
do all the things an aunty does and hold him close but now Sam's funeral is on Thursday and I
don't want it, I want him to be alive.
Sam has three sisters, Kristina, Anya and Isabella, loads of cousins, Ben, Beth, Nate, Kiera and
Jana and I know they would love Sam.
I feel like Maria's pregnancy was a whirlwind, I feel so heartbroken for Maria and Ian, Sam
was so beautiful and after three lovely daughters, the son they dearly wanted.

Our Lives changed, the very moment you passed away.
We couldn't stop it; there was nothing we could say.
You've touched our lives so deeply to a point you will never know,

Toys and trains
Hello Precious
Mummy has been sorting out toys and putting out trains for Isabella to play with and I was thinking how much you would love to be playing with them. It set me thinking how would you look sitting next to her sharing the trains, playing make believe of all the places the trains would take you too.
I wish you were here and feel so much sorrow that you are gone from us!!!
I will always love you and not a second goes by when I do not think of you!!!

I wish I could feel the weight of you in my arms and of held your hand when you took your first steps. I never had that because you were taken from me and I did not have a say as to whether you could stay, that I find so hard to take.

I often ask what if, what would you be doing now, which of your Sisters would you resemble, would you take after Mummy or Daddy. We have our memories of you and the questions we will never get to know the answers too.

Hi darling Sam,
I'm sorry I haven't been here for a while but I think of you everyday, everytime I hold Katie I think of you and the things I've missed, your smile, holding you close and giving you bottles or just knowing that you were safe with your mummy, daddy and sisters and it makes me very sad, sweetheart.
