On April 7 2007 at 21.35 hours my nephew, Sam, died in his mummy's arms. Sam had osteogenesis
imperfecta type 2 and his very brave mummy and daddy decided to take him off the ventilator at
around seven that evening. My lovely nephew was held, kissed, cuddled and bathed by his mummy and
daddy.
I'm so devastated for my sister, but when I think of Sam my heart breaks, I wanted so much to
do all the things an aunty does and hold him close but now Sam's funeral is on Thursday and I
don't want it, I want him to be alive.
Sam has three sisters, Kristina, Anya and Isabella, loads of cousins, Ben, Beth, Nate, Kiera and
Jana and I know they would love Sam.
I feel like Maria's pregnancy was a whirlwind, I feel so heartbroken for Maria and Ian, Sam
was so beautiful and after three lovely daughters, the son they dearly wanted.

Its the first of April and this the week mummy will be really feeling so very very sad, as your birhtday 04.04. and angel day are so very close together, we had you so briefly and had to let you go so quickly. I will be feeling you loss as much as the day you slipped away and this is because I love you Sam. Send a ray of sunshine for your Mummy as she is in a very sad place. I LOVE YOU!

Mummy has had a sad day today organising your birthday memoriam in the local newspaper and one dove for your birthday. Mummy wishes I was choosing a birthday cake for and putting up balloons for your first birhtday. I wish you were here with me and am so very sad you are not!!

Dearest Samuel.
I'll never forget stroking your little hand and praying that you could stay with us. Sadly it wasn't meant to be and now you're an angel in God's beautiful garden. I know that your Gt Nanny Molly is holding you in her arms and keeping you safe for your brave mummy and daddy and your beautiful sisters. Although your time here was so brief, you touched all our lives and you'll always be part of our large family and never forgotten.

Almost your birthday and anniversary
A year came around all too soon since your angel day and its been a year full of tears and sadness constant reminders of how you are away from us. When we celebrate your birthday you will have cakes, candles and balloons just as though you are here so watch out for them Sam. I havent writen on this site before, because I could nt find it, But you know that I am always thinking about you. i was saying to Uncle Chris today that I cant wait until 2007 is over, because its been such a terrible year. But then I thought it is terrible because we lost you, but then we HAD you for a little bit here, and it our hearts forever. I remember what you tuaght me sam, and I will never forget it.
